Milton Abbey School...

This is a lovely shot of Milton Abbey School, the inspiration behind Rilton Castle School in the series. School life features heavily in the latest book I'm finishing off now.
Behind the buildings, you can see the woods that lead up to a small chapel. In reality, this is St Catherine's, but in my stories it has become St Margaret's. It is the scene of a grisly murder in 'In Real Life' and a couple of good conversations in other books, as there's a log seat there where you can relax and look down on the playing fields behind the Abbey.
I learnt to do a lot of things in those woods, like smoke, drink and....think up stories...
