The village of Rilton Castle....

Mark from Melbourne has written to me asking why I chose Milton Abbas as the basis for Rilton Castle. Apart from the fact it is very beautiful, I went to the school nearby so know the area well. Also, because the number of houses is limited by special planning restrictions, the village can't get any bigger so I always have a relatively fixed number of inhabitants to write about.
I think it is also very photogenic, so if anyone ever makes a film or series from the stories, they have a natural starting point when looking for locations!
