I call Stockholm my home town now (even though I was born in Poole in Dorset) because I have lived here for twenty fours years. It is one of the most beautiful cities on Earth; clean, fresh air, water you can swim in in the summer and wonderfully kind people. I mentally write a lot when I go for long walks by this lake, around which the city is built then go home and put it all down on paper.
I work out conversations and plot lines as I walk and this really helps me push my stories forward. I have never suffered from 'writer's block' but sometimes only write in long bursts with weeks in between. It might not be the most effective way of producing a novel but it seems to work for me.
