The truth. Indie writers, the current term for self-publisher authors, must have enormous strength of character to keep going. When everyone tells them publishing is impossibly hard as so many books are out there, they keep on going. I know I do. Why? Well, I don't want fame but a bit of fortune would be nice! But the main reason is I love writing. It gives me so much pleasure and the people who have read my books do seem to like them. All I need is a few more to buy them and I can write full time, which would mean I could spend my life doing something that gives me great pleasure and satisfaction…and who wouldn't want that!
